Privacy Policy

SunDial: Scheduled Sales (“SunDial”, “we”, “us”) is a Shopify app that lets merchants schedule automatic price sales on their products and collections and revert them automatically. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information we collect

• Store and account data. Your .myshopify.com domain, your shop identifier, and an offline Shopify Admin API access token issued to the app when you install it. The access token is encrypted at rest.
• Product and sale data. The products, variants, and collections you select for a sale; their prices and compare-at prices (we capture the original price so it can be restored when a sale ends); and the sale schedules and discount settings you create in the app.
• Operational logs. Technical logs (for example, shop identifier, job and request identifiers, timestamps, and error details) used to run and troubleshoot the service.

We do not collect the personal information of your customers (buyers). The app operates on product pricing only and does not read, store, or process customer or order personal data.

How we use data

• To read product prices and apply and revert scheduled sales on your behalf, using the Shopify Admin API, on the schedule you configure.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the app.
• To provide support when you contact us.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.

Data storage and security

Data is stored on servers we control (hosted with DigitalOcean). Access tokens are encrypted at rest, all traffic is served over HTTPS/TLS, and access to production data is restricted. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We share data only with:

• Shopify — the platform the app runs on and through which all product changes are made.
• DigitalOcean — our infrastructure/hosting provider.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data only while the app is installed. When you uninstall SunDial, we honor Shopify’s app/uninstalled and shop/redact webhooks and delete the store’s data. Because we do not store customer personal data, Shopify’s customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks return no personal data; they are nonetheless implemented and honored.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about your store. To make a request, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA where applicable).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
